Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist (Healthcare in Prison)

The SE Trust require a Band 7 SLT (Advanced Practice) for a 3 month temporary position based in Hydebank Prison.

This is a full time vacancy and will commence 1st December, 2025.

Essential Criteria

• Five years clinical experience, at least three years as a Band 6 working with young people and/or adults with speech, language and communication difficulties
• Show evidence of advanced training and experience of communication and associated disorders with the client group at postgraduate level, e.g. MSc or equivalent
• Experience in providing training to clients, carers and other professional groups
• Experience working with clients with dysphagia

Qualifications/Registrations

• Professional qualifications required by Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
• Member of HCPC and RCSLT
• Current license to practise
• Professional indemnity insurance

Other

Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
